VASES OF MARVEL GARDEN
Showcasing the Best of the Past.
From our background in Product Design, and our obsession for plastic constructions...
This was the year 2013.
Vases of Marvel Garden consists of a set of 5 vases designed to facilitate experiments with plants and learn some of their biological life functions. The project started as an exploration of the object through the lens of the plants “living” inside of it: what if the vase could explain how the plants work?
Through simple and engaging experiments, the vases explain the following biological functions: erosion, capillary, chromatography, phototropism, and geotropism.
The devices are playful and educational, and provoke suspense and surprise to both children and adults. Aesthetically, the vases are designed to be modular constructions, consisting of an internal structure made in 3D printed pla filaments, and a light shell of beautifully folded paper.
